Rob:
Not too hard to do:
Use the CHGFTPA to use the following:

Initial name format . . . . . . *PATH *LIB, *SAME, *PATH
Initial directory . . . . . . . *HOMEDIR *CURLIB, *SAME, *HOMEDIR
Initial list format . . . . . . *UNIX *DFT, *SAME, *UNIX

The set up the home directory in the user profile of the user.

I have this working on a V4R5 machine.

Subject: ftp to an initial ifs directory

I was searching through the archives on how to have someone come up into a
default or initial ifs directory when using ftp instead of into their
default library. Some not-too-hopeful discussions were going on here:
http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/199911/msg00686.html

I was wondering if anyone had any updates?

I am running V5R2.
