Len, in a former life I did some of this. Did the twinax card do any translation of control codes, like the escape character? I worked at a place that did this through a Decision Data terminal. We used a 2-character sequence that got converted to x1B. When we went to network-attached printers, we could not do that. Instead we defined a translation table in the WSCST that converted a rarely-used character to the escape code. I think you might be choking on the escape character.

Greetings all,

I have configured a PC5250 printer emulation in Client Access
Express (v4.3) for an HP4050. I am trying to send a spool file that I have
created with escape codes already inserted from my COBOL program. (see
below for example). The example listed below worked fine when the printer
was attached using a Twinax emulation card. Since that is not an option
anymore, I need to emulate the printer thru Client Access as I stated above.
I have set up a WSTCST (limited knowledge) but can't seem to get the printer
to recognize the escape codes.

I have searched the archives and found all kinds of information, I have
searched through the WSTCST programming manual - but know I'm even more
confused.

Can someone tell me if this can be done and if so help me get started.
