With newer versions of os, RUNSQLSTM is a gimmie, and you are not required 
to have the dev kit.

Yes, if you have SQL development kit on your as400, you can use RUNSQLSTM 
to
execute an SQL script stored in a file.  OR... You could use QM Query to
process a SQL statement to call your stored procedure.  Several versions 
of
freeware SQL command processors are based on QM query definitions, and are
easily used from the command-line or in CL programs.
