It is only a async modem (AFAIK), like all the PCI-PC modems they claim to
be V?? modems but they are only V?? Async modems.

That's pretty cool.  It works for me too.  Does anyone know where
documentation is on how to use this modem as an SDLC modem?

I thought that was available in V5R1.

Ok I found out how to do this.  Searching on IBM's web site revealed a
document called: "R510 Setting Up Point-to-Point Protocol ECS internal
Modem".  Document 23750200.  This gave me the step by step instructions.
BUT I still did not have the universal connection wizard.  Searching
IBM's
web site for iSeries +"Universal Connection Wizard" revealed a document
for
workarounds and Fixes for common.  Since it was not shown,  I basically
had
to re-scan:
