Hi !

We wan't to upgrade our Model 170 from V4R5M0 to V5R2M0

IBM webserver say's:
Although the following I/O features are supported on V5R2, they may
experience performance limitations.
In unusual and severe cases replacement with an alternative feature may
be required.

Hardware
2838 PCI 100/10 Mbps Ethernet IOA

Suggested Replacements
Replace with a 2849 PCI 100/10 Mbps Ethernet IOA.

We have 2838 in our as/400.

Our reseller say's:
You can not run 2849 in your Model 170 and there are only 2838 to this
Model of as/400.

Any sugestion for our problem ?
Yes we now upgrade to a newer model ..... but any other sugestion ?
