It's a topical ointment, applied to old, disparate software products to give
the illusions of beauty and integration while trying to effect a
rejuvenation.  Formerly found in liquid form as 'snake oil' and now rapidly
becoming deliverable as a suppository.

Sorry, one too many websphere presentations has exacerbated my cynicism in
my old age.

Yes, but...  Management sees that as being locked in to proprietary systems,
and that's currently passé.  My management freaked over last summers Windows
licensing money grab.  I doubt they were alone, but BillG had them by the
&@!!s.  This view of yours, which I like, looks like just another crack at
thin client to management.
