Hello Neil,

you could also try to "clean" the registry of "old" keys by using the tool
Regclean from Microsoft. Latest version I have is 4.1 and is usually my first 
try,
if an "uninstall" did not clean up everything properly.
You'll have to run it more than once until it doesn't find any more "errors to 
fix",
then do a restart.
