When I read Slashdot I usually read it in nested mode, where you see a
comment then all its answers.  The above link defaults to threaded, so I
scanned the first few comments that posters had made about the question,
without reading any of the answers to those initial comments.

They were all (basically) "the web _is_ a client/server environment".  I
was please by this, because I've always thought much the same myself.

BTW, David, doesn't this belong on NonTech? ;-)))
