in window explorer under tools->folder options->file types you can mess
with the file extensions and applications (an obvious place to look, right ?)

Or you can just re-install acrobat: quicker, safer and easier (and a
comment on the O/S to boot...)

OK, Cyndi and Jeff, that makes some sense since I had to reinstall CA
on Friday.

Maybe I'll scan for PDF usage in the registry and see if I can hose my
PC.

(But what about Netsoft router?  Does it use .PDF & .FDF file types?)
