Greetings!

I have taken over responsibility for an iSeries running V4R5 and the
original HTTP server. I am wanting to migrate to Apache but cannot get the
*ADMIN server to run. I start the *ADMIN server with the -vv option and get
a trace containing this information:

APIClassExecute .... Return code from API class "SERVERINIT" function
"AdapterInit" is 500

APIClassExecute .... Execution of Serverinit ICAPI module QAPPSVR/QZHJSVLT,
procedure AdapterInit returned return code 500, job terminating.

lstats.c Return code from serverinit/serverterm is
500, procedure AdapterInit, Service program QZHJSVLT, library QAPPSVR.

There is no joblog produced and, if I execute the DSPLOG command, I can see
the message:

"Job 481575/QTMHHTTP/ADMIN ended on 11/21/02 at 10:14:25; 1 seconds used;
end code 0"

for the 5 ADMIN instances that attempt to start. End code 0 indicates
normal job completion.

As I said, we are at V4R5, we have JDK 1.2 (5769JV1 option 3) installed.
Obviously, the QZHJSVLT service program is trying to initialize SOME adapter
and failing but I'm clueless as to how to determine the problem.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve
