One part that I remember is going to service tools, STRSST, then #1 start
service tool, and then #3.

The rest went *whoosh* over my head.

How do you do a comm trace?

I could be the new jet direct card as well. We've had a spate of problems
recently when these cards have been swapped out. There's a certain type or
batch of jet direct card that just doesn't seem to recognize AS400 signals.
I've spent a few hours with IBM support line help on this issue. We've dbl
checked the cards configuration, and that is not it. So far, the only fix we
have is to swap out the cards until we get a good one.

If I remember correctly, you can ping the printer from the AS400, but if you
do a comm trace, it will clearly show the handshake does not complete and
the jetdirect card does not recognize your 400.

It's the printer. We've had the same problem in our offices with a
particular Sharp. It happened with output from the AS/400 and Windows. Not
really sure what caused the Sharp to behave the way it did but once we
swapped in an HP, the problem went away.

__ We have a printer that was working, but now isn't. The IP address has
__ changed, but nothing else. The driver is set up properly. We

__
__ What is happening is the file appears to have printed from

__
__ Any ideas where I can start looking?
