Auto config in finicky. I would delete the 5224, plug in the 4224, and
then power it on. The power on should make it autoconfig for sure.

             I replaced the 5224 , with a 4224 printer (IBM)
Providing the system is set to auto-config, is it ok to delete
the device description of the 5224, and power on and connect
             the 4224, and IPL?
Auto config should pick up this new device.
Haven't had to do this in quite awhile.
Thanks
