I'm VERY sorry, but even though there is a WHOLE lotta truth to the above
(including parts snipped)..

..The REAL problem is that OS/400 could be Open Sourced (EXCEPT! the
SECURITY CODE!!).  Much as I dislike Open Source, it's a business reality...
And IBM could Open Source discontinued versions, today....

....Plus, did You ever getting around to looking into the system internals,
via DMPOBJ as was suggested in the past.


Besides:

MI is an exquisite language/OS/Hardware combo.

Did You EVEN look into that, before You said that the iSeries is "boring",
James...?!?
