Jeff,
You are right and I changed it back. My programmer is using the newly
assigned IP address and it works fine for now. I will look into getting
a static IP address from someone other the AT&T Broadband since they
told me they do not offer static IP addresses.

Thanks

Richard

Richard,

        ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !

You may have just created a hudge problem for your self and
others.
When you get the IP address from an ISP you are getting one of a range
of
"available" adresses, if you just decide to plug one in as you have
done, it
is very possiable that someone else on this providers network will also
get
this same address because the DHCP Server does not no what you have
done,
and thinks the IP Address is avilable for assignment !! Your data may
now
be going other places !! An depending on the network configuration you,
and
whoever gets this address will both go off the the air due to duplicate
IP
assignments, if not EVERYONE connected to the DHCP..

The solution to your issue, is to BUY a static IP assignment
from
the vendor.. Or look at using a service like www.dyndns.org to
"publish"
the DHCP assignments for the programmer. Not override the DHCP
configuration.

        JMS...
