While the support remains, IBM recently ended marketing for twinax
devices. Evidently there was not enough volume to justify running the
assembly line. The advice I received was buy a used IBM on the open
market, or use a 3rd party device.

As for LAN Console, we have had mixed results. On a 3 LPAR system it
worked pretty good. On a 5 LPAR system, it was not pretty. Problem seems
to be related to Windows NT. We are going to upgrade to 2000 and try
again on this system
