I take that back I could not get MPUT to work generically.  You need to
create the folder structure before copying anything (at least as far as I
can tell).  Using MKDIR will do that.  You will still need to have a script
in order to do this automatically.

Log on to an FTP session on the 400 and type 'help'.  Look for help on MPUT.
The syntax is different but you should be able to adapt it to the PC.  Try
to copy a small set of files in multiple folders to see if they are created.
I have not actually done this, so I have to guarantee this will work.

If your PC client is Windows (NT) (exusez le mots), you can map a drive
letter to the IFS and use COPY/PASTE of the folder to the IFS. It will take
some time, but is an  alternative to FTP>
