Going back to the original question, since David has a working solution now,
I'm curious if this could also have been done by adding a trigger to
QSYS/QADBXREF (which the SQL collection's SYSTABLES is a view of). It is a
journalled file, so I don't see why it wouldn't work, although determining
which updates are relevant may be a tad tricky based on the complexity of
SYSTABLES's SQL.

Anyone know of a way (outside of having a constantly running monitor
program) to automatically trigger an event when an object is placed in a
library?  I would like to create a library that, when a user creates a file
in it (typically using Query), a trigger program of some type would
automatically FTP that file somewhere.
