It's best-of breed, and your users will love the ViewPoint interface. You'll
like the fact that you can use it as a programming tool. I just finished a
project where there was a requirement to port formatted data from a 400 to
an Oracle box. Because of the cost of the programming tools from IBM for
that machine, I had no PDM or an RPG compiler. With SEQUEL's scripting
capability, I was able to do everything I needed to prepare the data,
perform a CPYTOIMPF, and then call my generic batch FTP program to shoot the
files over to the other machine.
