For 10BaseT and 100BaseT connections using Cat5 wiring and RJ45 connectors,
the pinout is:

Pin Description EIA T568A wire color EIA T568B wire color
 1 TX + green-white orange-white
 2 TX - green orange
 3 RX + orange-white green-white
 6 RX - orange green

All other pins are unused.

Note that, as long as the cable is constructed to the same standard at both
ends, it doesn't matter which standard is used, and cables constructed to
either standard may be used interchangeably. Also, a crossover cable is made
by making one end up as T568A and the other as T568B.
