Try with host print transform switched off.

I have just set up a new PC5250 session to my HP895C. Used all defaults,
no host print transform. It works fine, no problems. This is at V5R1 and
Win2000.

Try a similar session on a different PC. It could be Windows that is
causing your problem!!!
In the PC5250 session there is a display that show the current status of
the printer. Is the 'On-line' light on?
When you try and print, do any lights on this status display flash?

If this helps - I find that *HP560C works for the printer type in host
print transform for my HP895c. - discovered by trial and error!!

I think that may be the problem. My printer (HP DeskJet 970Cxi) is not on the
list and I am searching for any compatible one. At this time, what I am doing
is really "guessing" for the right printer.
