You should write a batch FTP script that will run at the desired time.
One issue you will have to consider is whether or not there are
dependencies between processes that run on both machines (end of day,
backups, etc.). It may be a better idea to "push" the data from the
remote machine when it is ready.

I've got several clients who I have set up both ways. Contact me off-
line if you need some help. I can share my code with you.
