Hi,
If you let SS lapse, then the $20K is about right. At a current client,
they accidentally let the SS lapse. The BP bundled the SS into the sell
price on an upgrade a couple years ago. The total purchase was for 3 years,
but the BP only included the SS for one year...and didn't warn us when it
came up. Anyway, it lapsed.

Also, software subscription (and the access fee) went up by 25% just a
couple months ago.

Anyway, on a P20, the "access fee" is right at $10K and the SS is right at
$8K per year. No choice, we've gotta pay it. It shouldn't be so bad (from
an accountant's viewpoint), since we skipped a year of paying the annual SS
fee anyway. So it's $10K vs. $8K for that year. The down side of it is we
have been stuck at V4R4 for that year. Still are, but I'm working on it :)
