We stayed with the serial connection. It has worked great. The library can
support at least 8 serially connected systems, so it should meet our needs. If
we go to fiber attach on the drives, with more than 8 systems, we would revisit
ethernet. I am pretty sure it could be made to work, but by the time I got
involved, we had no time to attempt fixing the problems.
