I am running on the latest service pack for the release of OS/400 & CAE that
we are using...(V4R4M0).

titled:

Microsoft Access #deleted Errors


Following the suggestions listed in this document, I found that when I
changed the setup for the ODBC driver (under the Translation tab) to
'Translate CCSID 65535', it now works OK with V4R4M0 CAE.

This is similar to the problem that you may or may not have encountered when
using Data Transfer from AS/400.  If you don't specify (Under File >
Properties) to Convert CCSID 65535, the data gets transferred as binary
values when you run the file transfer.
