Thanks for the reply Buzz, but that cannot be the reason for the #DELETED
results as other PCs on the network are able to open the linked tables in
Access97 and access the same physical files.

Ken, you may need to do a re-org (RGZPFM) on the linked physical file
compressing out all deleted records.
