Bryan

The 4-2-1 switches set the address like a binary code 4-off 2-off 1-on =1
off-off-off=0
off-off-on=1
off-on-off=2
off-on-on=3
on-off-off=4
on-off-on=5
on-on-off=6
on-on-on=7 == not allowed

the second switch is the terminate switch to terminate the twinax-line.
1 is if you use one cable (this is the end of the twinax-line.
2 is if you use two cables (the printer is somewhere in the middle of the
twinax chain)

Onderwerp: How to set address on IBM 5224 printer

Anyone know how to set the address on a IBM 5224 matrix line printer?

On the back of the device I see three white on/off switches. The first
switch has a 4 above it, the middle switch a 2 above it, and the last switch
has a 1 above it.

Below these three switches is a blue switch with a 2 on top and a 1 on the
bottom.

I suppose that these switches somehow set the address. How would I set this
device to address 1?
