Thank you very much for helping me out so far, I really appreciate.

I didnt mean to confuse you at all. The JCL book, I shouldnt of mentioned on my 
last post to you. For the degree program I am currently in, the number of 
hardware platforms and operating systems is a lot to work with. Currently, the 
hardware I am currently using right now is the AS/400 and RS/6000. Next quarter 
for me come into some other hardware, I dont know all the specifics yet, but I 
am anxious to get to them.

Currently, I am programming on the AS/400. This quarter invovles COBOL and RPG 
IV; last quarter started with CL programming.

I liked your explanation on the remote output queue. Most likely, it wont work, 
since the AS/400 will not see it. My instructor most likely will not want to 
compromise security. I have asked my instructor on how to print from my PC, but 
he says it cant be done. Whether he will actually allow that or not, that could 
be part of his answer.

With Marty's advice, using the +1 on the Control line works just fine for now; 
at least I can see if any of my efforts to learn the syntax and proper coding ( 
i guess those are the right words) are actually doing the right thing.

You mentioned, IIRC, I do not know what this is. But, the HOD, is all 
web-based, using java. I did forget to tell you, that HOD will not (from my 
instructor) allow you to print or even set it up.
Thank you for the DBG/400 web site. I will be looking at the information later 
on tonight. Then I will submit it to my instructor, and hopefully, he will 
allow this to be installed onto the AS/400.
