Hi Jon,

You probably have to specify the individual fields in your INSERT statement.
I don't know if the SQL preprocessor is smart enough to expand the VENDR
group name into all of the individual fields. I would guess not, since there
is nothing to stop you from using COBOL variable names that are different
than the SQL (DDS) field names.

Instead of
           Exec SQL
                Insert into VendP
                Values( :VendR)
           End-exec.

You need
           Exec SQL
                Insert into VendP
                Values( :VENDORID,
                        :VENDORNAME,
                        :ADDRESSLINE1,
                         etc. for every field in the file
                      )
           End-exec.
