RE: why RCLSTG

Jim,

There may be some truth there.  I'd welcome other comments.

What I remember is that some of the DST disk pumping utilities don't
really work with the operating system (obviously it's not loaded).
Objects are moved but damaged objects may be omitted.  Unfortunately,
the only way to remove the damage flag is to run a RCLSTG.  You could
specify to omit the DBXREF rebuild when you run the command, but I would
run it.

Can anyone provide some context to my memories?  Is this old information
which is no longer valid?  I can't find my notes.
