You can go either way Ken.  There are advantages to both.

If you set it to *notify, then your operator will need to be aware of
the message and use system request to respond.  On the other hand, if
other messages come to the queue, they will not interrupt the job.
Because the system is in dedicated mode running the save interactively,
any break message will stop processing.

If you set it to *break, then your operator is more likely to notice the
message and respond in a timely manner.  But the job is also interrupted
if other messages are received.

The likelihood of receiving messages after the system is completely
dedicated is very slight.  If you set the system to *break, have your
operator stay near the screen until the tape starts moving.  There will
be some initial messages which will interrupt the job.  After that, you
should not receive messages until it's time to change the tape.  Make
sure that your operator not only responds to the message, but hits <F3>
to return to the program.
