If youre developing-only, why have an iSeries?  Get on one of the NetBoxes.
That is certainly affordable with the added bonus of not having to deal with
backups, PTFs, etc.

Perhaps it's reaonable, Al, but it nearly doubles my fixed costs, pushing me
even closer to the edge. No early termination is also a nasty little
change.

Does it affect existing leases, or only new ones? If only new ones, it's
more palatable. If it changes existing leases, this sort of decision,
without any warning, shows a complete lack or regard for the small
developer.
