What Carel said--  There's an example program at one of the AS/400
magazine sites that has an example that lets you check the submitted
priority by user profile and restrict the priority.   I'm afraid I
don't have the reference here, but it works fine.

Try searching for "Validity Checking Program"  (or is it Parameter
Checking Program?).

The issue is that IBM commands don't always use a 'user friendly' set
of parameters... but there's a work around!   (:
