It depends:

(a) On line speed between machines.
(b) On the amount of experience you have using it.
(c) On the design of the programs using it.
(d) What you expect it to do.

It was never designed to be a high speed process between machines.

It will work well in certain given situations, but very poorly in
others. Just because a application flies right along locally, does
NOT mean it will perform well using DDM files. Design is very
important in DDM usage....

To really see DDM fly along, put two or more machines in the same
room and provide a high speed link between machines.... With a
512kbps link between machines, then you really got somthing.
