Thanks Sean, that was it.

Odd that they would do it that way.  use the 'edit macro' dialog to define
the auto-run script too - and not adequately document it.

Go back to the macro editor option.  You should see your macro selected on
the dropdown list.  Change the selection to the blank line and click OK.
(In normal use, after editing a macro, you should click cancel instead of
OK
on the screen that selects the macro.  That is the autoplay macro
selection.)
