Hello Rich,

In my experience, the journal sequence number is controlled by the MNGRCV
(manage receiver) attribute on the CRTJRN command and the SEQOPT (sequence
option) on the CHGJRN command.

MNGRCV(*USER) leaves it up to the CHGJRN command if the sequence number is
to be reset whereas MNGRCV(*SYSTEM) will reset it.

SEQOPT(*CONT) will leave the sequence number at it's current value but
SEQOPT(*RESET) will reset it to 1.
