4.4 is an old unsupported release.  Numerous people on that old release
will probably only upgrade when beaten with a rather heavy stick. Business
reasons be damned.  Then again, they're probably not purchasing anything
new - so why write down to that level?  In this age of software contract
in which you are prepaying for the new software then I don't see any
reason for a vendor to not drop support for older releases of the
operating system one year after a release becomes Generally Available.

No, not expecting anything, just planning.  But seeing as how the oldest
5.2
target release is going to be 4.5, I am wondering if there are any
particular reasons people might stay at 4.4, or if we can safely assume
the
vast majority of folks at 4.4 will continue to stay on a supported release
(or aim to get there in short order) ?  -Dave K.
