It doesn't have anything to do with the JDE file, my guess is it is your
setting in the C/A transfer.  On your transfer, go up to File/Properties.
You have to have the "Convert CCSID" option checked.  Hope that helps.

I'm trying to download a JDE file, and no matter what, it's coming in as
Hex.  I'm on V4R5 using Client Access Express V4R5.
