Dan,
It depends on the VPN client, MS VPN looks like a dialup. Sonicwall can be set 
to use "ANY" connection or lock to a specific com port or nic. Also you may end 
up with too many IP connections for WIN95/98 to handle. You are only allowed 6. 
W2K or XP will allow more

Are we talking sessions or connections. If you are behind your router, then 
both VPN connections look like they are coming from the same IP and that can 
indicate spoofing. So double check that your network folks didn't think 
multiple sessions from the same client (pc) vs. multiple PCs from the same IP 
address. I know internally on your home network each PC has a different 
address, but what the host will see is the "1" IP of your router.

That sounds just like what I'm looking for.

But, you *have* been able to 2 VPN sessions running at the same time on the
same PC?  How?  When I tried to start a second VPN session after the first
one was running, I got an error about "already using dial-up" or somesuch.
Note: I set up the VPN sessions via dial-up networking, even though I access
internet via cable.  Is this the problem?

FWIW, this is Win95.

This thread got me thinking.  I'm close to putting a broadband router on the
"front" of my cable connection and hooking up two (or more) PCs to it so my
kids and I can surf at the same time.  I use a VPN connection to connect to
our AS/400 (actually network) at work.  Sometimes I'd like to VPN to one of
our clients at the same time, but I'm not able to get two VPN sessions
running concurrently.  If everything goes through the router to get to the
internet, can I use the other PC to VPN to the client while my PC VPN's to
my company's network?
