There's an API that can transform AFP documents to PostScript.   Then,
you could use a utility to transform PostScript to PDF.   If you got that
working, you could simply use the LINE and BOX DDS keywords.

I've been experimenting with this by outputing the postscript to my
FreeBSD machine, and then using Ghostscript to transform the PostScript
to PDF.  I wonder if GS would run on the iSeries under PASE?   Has anyone
tried that?

I wish Host Print Transform would just output to PDF directly.  (Or, did
they add that in V5R1?)
