It's the automation on the pc side that's got me. Fuel meter to wireless to
a pc "server". No one operates that pc, except for management reports.
I have as400 based retail app that has to immediately invoice the fuel
and other services. Is there an automated pc program to watch a file and
ftp to 400 when it gets a record? like we think of data queues? This is
a pc "package" and we want to not customize it, just get it's data. I could
"get" the data from the 400 if I add an ftp server to each pc like like
WS-FTP
on every pc, start it at boot up (hope it never crashes).
Looking for best but reasonable method. Must be reliable. This is 24x7
airport fueling like Dulles Airport in Washington, with no technician on
site.
Retail clerk has less training than Burger King, and fueler only sees his RF
unit.
