Spool file blues

I am not sure if I can explain the good enough or not, but I will try.

I have a spool file that I am creating. I want to attach an overlay on the
file, using a M$ Publisher document. This I know how to do (per
http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/199912/msg00970.html and another
source). I have the spool file working great and it looks good. However, as
soon as I specify *AFPDS, the spool file is all goofed up! Some fields
overlap others, some of runs off the page, and the line spacing is off by up
to 2 lines. What could be doing this? I have done this on another spool file
in the past and it has worked just fine. Anyone have any ideas?
