Yes, this can be done!  Some issues will be:

1) Performance of collecting data from non-AS/400 sources.
2) Formatting data to match the various db layouts.
3) Keeping things in sync.

There are many tools to do this.  The questions are:

What are the source databases doing?
What information are you getting after processing on the 400?
How often does the data need refreshing?
How much money do you have?
