If you go to

take 'Category bookshelves for V4R4', then '2 Planning and Installation',
you'll find Setting Up 940x Model 150: SA41-5144 and Setting Up 940x Model
170: SA41-5145, which both have instructions on installing this stuff.

There is also a PDF document on installing ethernet cards in 170s and 250s.
