Granted MS leaves out a lot of stuff they shouldn't, but IBM has room for
improvement.

Well, the only reason you would need Veritas is because MICROSOFT'S BACKUP
SUCKS.  MS does a very poor job a backup to the point that we've yet to
find anyone that's been able to do a full complete restoreable backup from
MS 2000 Pro or server....  Even local MS'ers use Veritas...geee...:)

AS/400 doesn't have that problem....I can restore a full system or any
part from a full system state backup equivalent...

Just my humble opinion...:)
