iSeries
|PTFs are only available to those who have a software subscription. If
|you do not have software subscription your are not entitled to PTFs.

|V4R5 is a current release. PTFs are available.
|V4R3 is dead/no longer supported. It may be difficult to obtain PTFs
for
|this release.

|I use the ECS modem to request/download PTFs. The command SNDPTFORD, or
|alternately, GO PTF then option 6, is used to order PTFs by this
method.
|Your ECS dial up info needs to be configured correctly with telephone
|numbers, etc. Your local IBM business partner should be able to provide
|you with the correct configuration information.
|
|To use SNDPTFORD, your system needs to be registered at the IBM support
|site. Your IBM business partner should be able to set this up for you.
