I don't have a product in mind other than Client Access PC5250 and _maybe_ 
Visual Basic, although it might require a C/C++ instead -- I haven't done this 
under any Windows OS, so I can't be sure. Under OS/2, I used simple REXX with 
no problem.

Browse through the Client Access/400 PC5250 Programmer's Guide for background 
on DDE/EHLLAPI. Sending keystrokes into an emulation session isn't especially 
difficult. I suspect an average VB programmer could put together an app in a 
couple hours that could send in an <F3> on demand for example. If you intend it 
to remain fairly simple, it's got to be less work than even investigating a 
3rd-party product.

Deciding how to trigger it would be a different question of course, though I 
can think of a few ways. Remote command from the host, a sockets connection, a 
timer, too many possibilities.
