I installed the CUM, followed by the hypers (now 2 CDs!), followed by the
groups.  Then two specific PTFs that we needed for certain function here
not found anywhere else.  Then one IPL, which should have applied
everything, assuming that all of the PTFs had been coded properly.

Al,  what order did you install the ptf's??
I remember back in the v4r3 days a similiar problem but I got that when I
installed the CUMe before the groups.

I have had no problems installing groups and hipers together.

 I usually start with the hipers then DB then BR then the CUMe.

C2036510 is the current CUMe, and my last two efforts to install this PTF
CUMe level, with hypers and groups has consistently failed. It needed a
second IPL, because some of the pre-reques/co-reques were improperly coded.
