iDSL is really ISDN but called iDSL.  It is for folk that are too far from
the phone company CO to get DSL which operates at higher frequencies and is
sensitive to distance from the CO (5 miles).  Normally ISDN is very
expensive as it is chargeable by the minute per call.  iDSL is an always on
DSL offering.
