I wrote a white paper for IBM on replacing CISC with a 170, and I think you
could use this as a basis.  I will send it to you privately (assuming that
I can still fund it.  I wrote it a few years ago, but I should still have a
.PDF.  If anyone else also wants this, please send private mail, as I know
that David will not forward attachments.

Folks:

I have a customer getting ready to dump an F50 that still runs the business
in favor of an iSeries.  Part of the information I am trying to provide is
the difference in power consumption and cooling requirements for the 270
vs. the F50.  I can't find the planning guide or any information on IBM's
web site for the F50 anymore.  (small wonder since the machine is what over
10 years old!!!)   Does anyone know where I might find some information?
