While I was trying to read and record the SRC's, the system started rolling
through SRC faster than I could write.  Suddenly the system console
responded and I was logged on.  It recovered all by itself.  I called IBM
after printing all the logs and reported the problem.  That is when I was
given the PTF to apply.  I came back after hours and IPL'd to apply the
PTF's but the system was running just fine.

STILL, Chris, I think your story beats even mine!  You say your jobs picked
up right where they left off when the system froze?  How?  Didn't you have
to IPL and apply PTFs?  You must have been able to somehow recover from this
before applying PTFs?  WOW.
